Amber Howe- I was quite impressed by this Prezi. I thought the topic was relevent to your audience and was personal, so it enhanced your ethos.The little girl/little boy images were cute, and how like you said, you don't have to be a certain age to deal with this. I did notice some minor spelling errors in the text: Fairytail-->Fairytale, and in the slide about "Should I love me?" you repeat it right after, and maybe it should be "myself"? The slide about "which path should I take", the caged bird or free bird was kind of confusing. Maybe explain/show that not loving yourself makes you caged (from others and from yourself) and that the goal is like you said, to be free to love yourself. I love how you answered your question at the end instead of leaving it open-ended: "Loving who you are, that is true love."
Deanna Brown- I like the combination of sarcasm and honesty that pervade the images and ajoining text. I think the overall layout was good and the pastel color choice was appropriate. My suggestion would be to put the other people's advice/myths in quotation marks consistently throughout so the audience can differentiate between the myth and the reality. I would also suggest somehow putting some images/text closer together so you don't have to jump all the way across the page to get to the next slide. I also liked how you ended your Prezi with the slide about instincts, I think that really brought your argument full circle.
Kelsey Shapiro- I loved your use of the Prezi features, especially your choice of colors and frames which enhanced your topic. Your pictures of "We all interact with music" were good, presenting a sort of "everyman" type quality in terms of interaction with music which is accurate. I like the incorporation of notes beside the pictures, which consistently reminds the viewer what the Prezi is about. I did think the paper doll slides were confusing just because I didn't know the band, or the context, until you mentioned it later. I like the idea of "do we use music or does music use us?" I would suggest wording it this way though: "Do we use music?..." instead of "is it us that uses music" just because it's more direct and more simple.
Estelle Reidler-I liked that you took a poem you liked/found interesting and wove a story that not only related, was born from your own imagination. I liked your personal pictures and how you touched them up, and made them seem cerebral. They work with the cerebral quality of the lines of the poem. I thought it was heading in one direction and it definitely took me by surprise. Somehow, along the way, I didn't get that the girl was schizophrenic. Maybe in the Prezi some of those pictures can be more explicit? Maybe even start with an image of the schizophrenic girl?
Charlotte Moyer- I liked your topic choice and how you went about presenting it. I loved the metaphorical images that went along with the text/idea: the cliff/mountain, brickwall, flower, graveyard, sun/clearing, and shiny rocks. I also thought your use of zooming into text in specifically situated spots in the pictures was clever and well-done. Your use of personal pictures was also a nice touch that worked to add to your ethos. I thought the text was sometimes hard to read, so maybe by making it bolder, using a different color, or putting text in front of a frame of white would help. I also thought that after you said "the process is a loop" it seemed like you were unnecessarily repeating yourself. I liked how you ended with everything being in a literal loop!
Jenny Mascaro- I liked your Prezi topic, it was very fitting for the times! I liked that you wanted to hone in on one family/woman's particular story who was on the titanic. I loved your layout and choice of colors; they worked well with the black and white photos and the somber mood. I liked a lot of what you verbalized before and after the prezi about J.J. Astor's story, and thought more of that could be incorporated in the prezi so there's more background/details there. I thought more pictures/text could be added to enhance and draw out the story, because it's all so fascinating!
